PerkinElmer Unveils Frontier Infrared Spectrometer with AVI Standardization

PerkinElmer, a health and safety company, has rolled out a new infrared (FT-IR) spectrometer that offers enhanced sensitivity and flexibility.

The Frontier Infrared Spectrometer is suitable for various sectors such as pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, chemicals and polymers.

The spectrometer fulfills different IR challenges including complex analyses and measurements. It offers improved signal-to-noise ratio and infrared spectra allows increased performance for far-, mid- and near- infrared spectroscopic analysis. The automated range changing function of the device enables numerous techniques to be used easily.

In addition, the flexible optical system of the spectrometer allows the inclusion of imaging and microscopy systems for comprehensive material analysis. The AVI Standardization adjusts the wavelength scales of the spectrometer to a higher precision compared to traditional calibration methods. The Atmospheric Vapor Compensation (AVC) has an advanced digital filtering algorithm to remove H2O and CO2 interferences for precise FT-IR results.
