Princeton Optronics, Inc.
Princeton Optronics is a privately held, venture funded company engaged in the development and manufacture of high power vertical cavity surface emitting lasers (VCSELs), low noise ultrastable lasers and tunable lasers. The company's PowersweepTM 2000 is a high power tunable laser designed for externally modulated transmitters. We have also developed transmitters using tunable lasers and ruggedizing them for military applications with DoD funding.Princeton Optronics is the world leader in the technology of high power VCSELs. Have demonstrated single devices with 3W of output power and small arrays of 80W of power and 45% wall plug efficiency. Also has demonstrated high power pulsed operation with the arrays.
Princeton Optronics has world's lowest noise and highest stability lasers. They have a patented technology for RIN noise reduction by 50dB. They have the highest stability lasers with a unique locker technology (patent pending) delivering 5kHz stability. The line width of the lasers is in the range of 1kHz.
Princeton Optronics is the first company to deliver high output, 30-40mW solutions that have low power consumption (4W maximum at 75 degrees C) along with a -70 dB SMSR for the Powersweep 2000; and 3W power dissipation for the TLM at 75 degrees C along with a -70 dB SMSR
