JDS Uniphase Corporation is now using a new name and logo (shown above). The Company will use the name "JDSU" except where the legal entity name, which shall remain "JDS Uniphase Corporation", is required. The transition has been carefully planned to maximize existing inventories and minimize costs and will take several months to complete. During this time you may see both forms of corporate identification in use.

The reason for the change is to better communicate our corporate identity in a manner that is consistent with our values and business focus.

First, the company identity will be changed from "JDS Uniphase" to "JDSU" in order to provide simplified consistency in the way we present ourselves to the market. "JDSU" is consistent with our Web site URL, our NASDAQ ticker symbol, and our email address. The legal entity name will remain "JDS Uniphase Corporation".

Second, the graphical element of the logo will be updated to provide a more modern look while leveraging the equity associated with our logo over the years.

Finally, a new tag-line, "Enabling Broadband & Optical Innovation", clearly communicates our commitment to enabling our customers' innovation in a set of multi-billion dollar markets including optical communications, broadband and optical test & measurement, and optical commercial and consumer applications.
