Absorbance Measurement using Avantes’ AvaSoft Software
This video explains how to do the absorbance measurement using AvaSoft 8 software in Avantes Spectrometer. The latest version of the software should be installed in the computer. The halogen light source should be warmed for fifteen minutes to have a stable output.
The spectrometer is connected to the cadet holder which is again connected to the halogen light source. Reference measurement is taken by placing empty cadet in the holder. Then the sample is placed in the holder. Using the software and appropriate options absorbance can be measured and referred with the reference measurements.
