This video explains how to do the transmission measurement using AvaSoft 8 software in Avantes Spectrometer. The latest version of the software should be installed in the computer. The halogen light source should be warmed for fifteen minutes to have a stable output. The spectrometer is connected to the cadet holder. A reference measurement is taken by placing empty cadet in the holder. Then the sample is placed in the holder. Using the software and appropriate options transmission can be measured and referred with the reference measurements.
