Agilent Technologies and Nikon Instruments have signed a contract to distribute Agilent's MLC400 laser combiner solutions.
The MLC400 laser system will be combined into laser solutions that are specifically developed for Nikon’s inverted research microscope, Ti-E PFS.
MLC400 Monolithic Laser Combiner
The Ti-E PFS research microscope is used for live-cell imaging experiments. Combining the MLC400 laser solution with the microscope will enable researchers to reduce system down time and maximize productivity. The laser system, under the power of NIS-Elements AR, can function at camera frame rate.
The laser combiner technology attains enhanced optical efficacy on microscopes by eradicating the requirement for numerous mechanical mounts on the fixtures. It also eradicates the need for air gaps and exposed optical faces. The MLC400 does not require any re-alignment or maintenance.
Agilent and Nikon will begin combining the MLC400/Ti-E imaging solutions for field scanning confocal systems, photobleaching/photo-activation and total internal reflection fluorescence systems.
